3. Currency
- United States orders: All transactions are processed in U.S. Dollars (USD).
- Future EU/Netherlands orders: When launched, EU checkout will display and process payments in Euros (EUR), inclusive of applicable VAT.
4. Payment Terms
- Payment is required in full at checkout, unless otherwise stated.
- Orders will only be processed and shipped after successful payment authorization.
- Invoices/receipts are emailed once your payment is confirmed.
5. Payment Security
- All transactions are encrypted (SSL) and processed via certified third-party payment providers compliant with PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards).
- Loft Shelf does not store your full credit/debit card details.
- Additional fraud-prevention or verification checks may be carried out before processing.
6. Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) / Installments (if available)
Where offered via providers such as Shop Pay Installments, payments will be governed by the provider’s terms and conditions. Loft Shelf is not responsible for late fees or consequences of missed installment payments.
7. Recovery Procedures
- If payment is unsuccessful or disputed after order fulfillment, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel the order and take steps to recover outstanding amounts.
- Recovery measures may include late fees, collection through a debt recovery agency, or legal action where appropriate.
8. Refunds to Original Method
- Approved refunds (see Return & Refund Policy) will be credited only to the original payment method.
- Refund timelines may vary depending on your payment provider, typically 5–10 business days after Loft Shelf processes the refund.
9. Future VAT/EU Rules
When we expand to the Netherlands/EU:
- Prices will be displayed inclusive of VAT.
- VAT invoices will be available upon request.
- EU consumer protection rules (including the 14-day withdrawal right) will apply—see Return & Refund Policy.
10. Policy Updates
We may update this Payment Policy at any time. Updates take effect immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance.
